No family functions in isolation from the community. The community shares responsibility with families to provide a safe environment which promotes the optimum development of each member.
We are active partners with community groups and organizations in developing community programs. These include the Shelldale Centre, Onward Willow - Better Beginnings, Better Futures, neighbourhood groups and the Guelph Neighbourhood Support Coalition, and working together with the Volunteer Centre, and a range of community activities and partnerships. These activities provide early supports for families to offset the need for more intrusive actions.
