F&CS is focused on helping families live to their full potential. As a community leader in strengthening the support networks available to families, F&CS understands that child welfare is an important and complex community responsibility. Family Support workers provide in-home support for families who are facing challenges or are in crisis. Each family's needs are unique, so services offered are different for each family. Support services may include:
- hands-on teaching of parenting skills
- problem solving and life-skill development
- helping families receive support from other community groups
