Adopting

F&CS helps all those involved and interested in the adoption process, where children become a permanent and legal part of a new family. Adoptive families participate in rigorous screening and training before a child is placed with them.

F&CS has trained staff who provide counselling for pregnant mothers and information for families who wish to adopt children. We also help adopted adults who are looking for information about their birth families and birth families who are requesting information about a child who was placed for adoption. F&CS places children aged from birth up to 16 years of age.

F&CS holds regular Adoption Information Sessions for people interested in learning more about adoption. To register for one of sessions, please call Dianne Tran at 519.824.2410 x450.

All meetings start at 6:00 pm and end by 8:00 pm. These meetings are held at our Victoria Street office.
