Family and Children's Services protects and helps children by offering support programs that assist families feeling challenged by the sometimes overwhelming daily struggles of raising a family. We often partner with other community agencies to deliver programs that make a positive difference to families in need.
If a community member believes a child is being abused or neglected, it is a legal responsibility to report concerns to F&CS. As part of its legal duty, F&CS must then look into every report it receives. To investigate, a Family Service worker may talk to the parents, child and other people who know the child to decide how best to help based on their findings. Our goal is to help families find the support they need to care for their children.
