2018-2019 BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Don McKay, Chair
Augusta Tribe, Vice-Chair
Glenna Banda, Secretary-Treasurer
The Board of Directors provides high-level leadership and governance for the organization by providing oversight of the organization’s operations, performance and outcomes. Committees of the Board provide leadership on specific issues. Board and Committee Members attend regular meetings and are also encouraged to attend FCSGW events and participate in the life of the organization.
We are working hard to ensure that our Board broadly represents the diversity of our community and are seeking individuals to join the volunteer Board of Directors.
Applications are being invited for Board members with a commitment to the well-being of children and families in the Guelph-Wellington community. Leadership experience is considered an asset but is not required. These are unpaid, volunteer positions.
Skills and Experience:
We are committed to having our Board represent our community with a broad mix of experience, knowledge, and skills. We are particularly interested in the broad perspectives that people with diverse abilities, race, sexual orientation, gender identity, and ethnicity would bring. Orientation and mentorship will be provided and training is available.
Board applicants must be able to attend meetings in Guelph on the first Wednesday evening of each month and participate on one committee for a total of approximately 4-6 hours per month, plus meeting preparation time.
To apply to be nominated to the Board of Directors or to a Committee of the Board, please complete the Board and Committee Application form below and submit it to the address indicated on the form along with your resume.
