October 24th is Dress Purple Day
On October 24, 2019 Family & Children’s Services of Guelph and Wellington County will join other Children’s Aid Societies in the province and our community partners to Dress Purple!
Throughout the month of October Children’s Aid Societies across Ontario raise awareness about the role that adults and communities play in supporting vulnerable children, youth, and families. On Dress Purple Day we partner with local boards of education, schools, and child cares to teach students about their right to safety and well-being in all spaces and celebrate our community that cares for kids.
It takes a community to care for kids
On October 24th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
F&CS staff will be at
Zehrs in Guelph at 297 Eramosa Road and
Zehrs in Fergus at 800 Tower Street South!
Staff will be available to talk with the public about what we do, how you can help, and about volunteering or fostering with us. Please drop by to pick up information, enjoy some purple cotton candy, and learn more about how adults and communities work together to keep kids safe.
Dress Purple on October 24th!
Wear purple on October 24th and encourage your family, colleagues, and kids to dress purple to share the message that help is available, and no one is alone. Take photos and share at #OntarioDressPurpleDay and #fcsgw to celebrate our Guelph/Wellington community that cares for kids!
