A significant way you can support children and youth in vulnerable situations is by making a deferred or planned gift to Family & Children’s Services. A deferred gift often means you can make a much larger gift than you thought possible during your lifetime. You have use of the asset while you are alive and it is revocable if your circumstances change.
Deferred gifts can be made through bequests, gifts of securities, life insurance policies, gifts of RRSP value, charitable gift annuities, and outright gifts. There are many options available to ensure a legacy of caring for children, youth and families. Your gift of love can support the ongoing work of the agency while minimizing your estate’s tax liability.
Family & Children’s Services recommends that you consult with your lawyer or estate planner regarding a deferred gift. For more information on how to proceed you may contact Carolyn Tait-Guest, Fund Development Coordinator at 519-824-2410 ext. 4172 or Carolyn.Tait-Guest@fcsgw.org
